How to play: Imposter
See your role in secret
Each player looks at the phone alone. The crew sees the secret word; the Imposter only learns they're the Imposter, with the category as a hint if it's turned on.
One clue each
Taking turns, everyone says one word about the secret word out loud. Never say the word itself, and don't make it too easy: the Imposter is listening.
Vote
When the clues are done, everyone votes for who they think the Imposter is.
The Imposter's last chance
If the Imposter is caught, they get one guess at the secret word. Guess it right and they still win the round.
Scoring and winning
If the Imposter isn't caught, or is caught but guesses the word, each Imposter gets +2. If they're caught and guess wrong, the crew scores +1. Most points after all rounds wins.
Before you start
- In setup you choose the rounds, the timer and how many Imposters there are.
- Crew: be specific enough to prove you know the word, vague enough not to give it away.
